War! What Is It Good For?

By orwell777 , 2009-11-09 00:09:21 in Politics

Of all the things that man does, the must stupid and unhumane is fighting and killing each other. The impasses are reached when there are flakey reasons for the possession of materials, land, ect.,ect. Material possessions and gains of materials is the reason for all conflicts, not because one group is making the other unhappy; it's always a quable over some tangible matter. Greed is the main cause of war. Greed for power which can be converted into material gains or an immediate material gain throws the world into wars.

We are at a point in our technological development inwhich all of the world can be destroyed. Instead of using technology to meet the needs of all people out of compassion for life we are continuing on the path toward destruction of all mankind, and doing what fools do, continuing to plot means to forcibly govern all men.

OH GOD!

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has asked Pakistan to dismantle all terrorist outfits including Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jamaat-ud-Dawa. She said in Mumbai that it is too early to talk about the outcome of Islamabad's campaign against the terrorists despite the commitment shown by Islamabad in the last six months to deal with the menace. She was talking to reporters in Mumbai after paying tribute to the victims of 26/11 attacks at Taj Hotel.

On New Delhi's position against terrorism, Clinton said that the US is not in any way involved in promoting any particular position, but maintained that her country is very supportive of all efforts in the fight against terrorism.
Insisting that the US had no role to play in resumption of dialogue between India and Pakistan, Clinton said all decisions on the issue have been taken by the governments of the two countries. She evaded a direct reply to a question whether the US would persuade Pakistan to hand over fugitives to India.
She said that the US is working hard on a number of agreements on education, science, technology, pharma, climate change, healthcare and said that her country is eager to work on issues like providing macro nutrients to infants and enhancing the production of life saving drugs.
Hillary Clinton, who is on a five day visit to India, will be addressing a conclave on climate change in the outskirts of Delhi at Gurgaon today after arriving from Mumbai. Later in the evening, Clinton will address a function at Indian Agricultural Research Institute at Pusa.

Addressing a gathering of artisans in Mumbai organised by the NGO SEWA, Mrs Clinton emphasized the role of women for successful, inclusive and sustainable economic progress of the world. She said that the world cannot progress if women are left behind in the development as they are key to economic progress and social stability.
She said that technical education in India is the best in the world. She said the US and India need to work together in the field to help bridge the gap between talent and opportunities. Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan also shared the dais with the US Secretary of State.

Hillary Clinton Asian visit a socio-economic

By nksagar , 2009-07-18 08:19:12 in Politics

2009-07-18 07:45:35 - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived Mumbai tonight from mid halt in Prague for refuelling her special plane on a five-day visit to India and further two days visit to Thailand.Ino-US will have new friendly relation to seek business plus in their strategic partnership and deepen their engagement.

US without any concrete policy on South asian countries which have found themselves in fix at Iraq and Afghanistan wants to address their soci-economic agenda on priority for the super power to mingle with upcoming Asian nation and to establish cultural and business relation. She is to ignite with spark for many business and bilateral agreements which are on cards. She is

likely to meet opposition leaders, such as Mr LK Advani BJP and others. Her meet with Sonia Gandhi Chairperson of UPA the federal structure ruling the country is also on cards along with Rahul Gandhi.

US Secretary of State spent night at the Tower Wing of the Taj Hotel in an act of solidarity with the victims of the Mumbai terror attack on November 26 last.
US in time of global recession which has marred her economic stability is on look for various options to regain and invest in US by various Asian companies which are making lots of forray in economic development of their countries.

US policy makers have on their agenda two SA countries which are doing exceedingly well are India and Thailand with their liberalisation option playing a major role in inventing news options for neo-business and exports of varied neo products which is the requirment in the EU,thus race is on to garner the cheap and quality products to exported or imported from the asians countries to give impetus to US economy thus Madam Hillay is on her public relation tour to get the first hand information about the possibilities of problems which face by the Indo-US enterpreuners and to study the cultural aspects of the nation under her scanner.

US Environmental agenda too to remain in vogue to give the super power the methodlogy to talk and submit her most profound and advance technology transfer on cards. But the Amercan most popular news papers,Washington post today in the article says ,Clinton Returns to Asia Without New Policy,Nearly six months after announcing a high-profile review of U.S. policy to Burma during a trip to Indonesia, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is returning to Asia without a new policy.

Clinton will attend a gathering of Southeast Asian foreign ministers in Phuket, Thailand, including the Burmese foreign minister, and many experts had expected the Obama administration to make clear its intentions at the gathering. But U.S. officials said the review was put on hold pending the outcome of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi's trial that began in May -- and the military junta that rules Burma has repeatedly delayed the court proceedings, apparently with an aim of pushing it past the annual gathering of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

U.S. officials are holding out hope that the court will release Suu Kyi, opening up the possibility of dialogue. But the result has been that the United States has been largely silent on Burma, even as the government launched a military offensive against the Karen ethnic group that has spilled over the border into neighboring Thailand, with thousands of refugees fleeing the fighting as an estimated 3,300 villages were burned.
Ms clinton to play the role of mediator between India and Pakistan for the stined relation to neighbour have after 26/11 attack on Mumbai which can be read in Pakistan daily which has news read as,"Clinton says Pakistan has nothing to fear from her India visit. " News goes on In an interview to Dawn newspaper and TV, Secretary Clinton assured the Pakistanis that they did not need to fear the outcome of her India visit.

The US media reported on Thursday that Pakistan was likely to figure high in Mrs Clinton’s talks in India. In a meeting at the Egyptian town of Sharm El Sheikh on Thursday, the Indian and Pakistani leaders agreed to de-link bilateral talks from the issue of terrorism.‘I’m going with the hope that has been ignited in the last weeks that India and Pakistan will pursue a dialogue again,’ said the top US diplomat when asked if she was going to New Delhi with an initiative for restarting India-Pakistan talks.Mrs Clinton described an earlier meeting between the two prime ministers as ‘very promising,’ and showed that the two governments were keen to resolve their differences peacefully.‘There is an interest and a seriousness on the part of both governments in trying to work towards resolution of some of the longstanding differences,’ she said.

‘I have always believed, and you may have heard me say in many meetings of my friends in the Pakistani and American community, that Pakistan’s future is unlimited. The potential for economic growth and for influence in the region is, in my view, as great as any country’s.’But she suggested that Pakistan had to show commitment to focussing on its internal developments, which required dealing with and trying to resolve some of the outstanding concerns.‘There are some in Pakistan who say that Indians are using Afghanistan to interfere in Balochistan. Will you discuss this with the India?’ she was asked.‘Well, I’m going to raise everything that we believe is of significance with the Indian government. I believe that it is in India’s interest for Pakistan to be stable, democratic, free of terrorism,’ she said.

So Sad

By kakijoje , 2009-06-08 22:03:04 in Politics

It seems the former supervisor's dirty deeds are still continuing through her cohorts who are out for themselves.  One town board member has resigned and one planning member also resigned.  Why?  Because there is too much back stabbing and underhanded politics going on.  When there is no honesty it is time to leave.  Sadly the town people are the losers in this but apathy still reigns supreme unless it is in your back yard.

Email Received

So the following is an email I responded to ...

SOCIAL SECURITY CHANGES
Please sign this petition and flood the President's e-mail box with petitions that tell him that, even if the House passes this bill, he needs to veto it.  It is already impossible to live on Social Security alone.  If the government gives benefits to 'illegal' aliens who have never contributed, where does that leave those of us who have paid into Social Security all our working lives?
As stated below, the Senate voted this week to allow 'illegal' aliens access to Social Security benefits.
Attached is an opportunity to sign a petition that requires citizenship for eligibility to that social service.
Instructions are below.  If you don't forward the petition and just stop it, we will lose all these names.
If you do not want to sign it, please just forward it to everyone you know.
Thank you!
To add your name, click on 'forward'.  Address it to all of your email correspondents, add your name to the list and send it on.
When the petition hits 1,000, send it to
comment@whitehouse.gov
PETITION for President Obama:
Dear Mr. President:
We, the undersigned, protest the bill that the Senate voted on recently which would allow illegal aliens to access our Social Security.  We demand that you and all Congressional representatives require citizenship as a pre-requisite for social services in the
United States.
We further demand that there not be any amnesty give n to illegal aliens, NO free services, no funding, no payments to and for illegal immigrants

MY RESPONSE -

Sorry I couldn't forward this without making my position on this issue known.
The amount of undocumented persons in the US is substantial and the issues that creates are well known.  What is misunderstood is that many of the thousands that are here were brought here as children, without choice, without a voice.  These people are now stranded in the US.  They have no legal status.  They cannot return to their home countries, as there is no connection, and often a language barrier.  To those is this position keeping them from legalizing their presence in the US is an injustice.  This is the only country they know.  This is the only place that has been home.  After April 2001 the protection afforded under the law came to a close.  Anyone who was a relative to a US Citizens or a Permanent Resident, and was here undocumented was unable to change their status.
The Immigration process is costly, in money, in time, in energy, in frustration.  What is most frustrating to me is that associates, colleagues, and friends of mine are not willing to take the time to see the facets of this issue.  Undocumented persons are not the root of our economic problems.  These people to work, some even pay taxes, they pay rent, buy houses, and send their children to school here.  Why not allow them to participate in paying into our governmental resources?  Why not allow them to sleep peacefully knowing that they don't have to look over their shoulders everyday waiting for Immigations & Customs Enforcement to separate them from their family?
I have several clients who have been directly affected by the randomness of an ICE raid.  I have families lose their homes, not because they can't afford their mortgage, but because their major income earner was picked up in a raid and detained for a period of time.  The unfortunate part was that this person was a lawful permanent resident who happened to not have his green card with him that day.
Get educated before emails like this go out to everyone you know.  Not everyone who is here "illegally" is taking US jobs away, the US is taking jobs away from their own citizens.  Search your own blood lines, and those that were legitimately here in the US and from no other place - you can bitch about the influx of foreigners.  Everyone else, consider the full picture before you line up to block the borders of the US.

Your comments are encourage and appreciated.  Sorry if anyone is put off by my position, but I hear too many stories from clients and there is nothing that can be done for them.  Separating families is not the answer.  Sending people to countries they have no connection with, is beyond comprehension.

Don't be a blind follower of the buzz or spin.  THINK for yourselves.  Form an opinion based on your own research and knowledge.  Don't be mislead by the masses marching without their brains engaged.

Resigntation Finally

By kakijoje , 2009-04-23 23:26:42 in Politics

Finally the incompetent supervisor has resigned.  What took so long?

So much damage has been done tha it will take a miracle to clean up the mess.  One can only hope that the former wuper will take the reins once again and lead us back to sanity.  As the old saying goes, "Good riddance to bad rubbish."

Christian Right Coalition 2008

I think that someone has underestimated McCain and the Right Wing Christian Coalition.
What do you think?

Rev. Caldwell"CC"Crawford  cc4669@yahoo.com

One of my very fears. I replied to an Obama survey, and expressed that he
should stand for the faith for the same reason as you stated. I feel that it
would be disastrous to the Obama camp to let McCain be preceived as standing
for the faith and Obama opposed.

I feel that if Obama stands for the faith in the face of taking a lost, than
he will be rewarded by the silent majority in the voting booth. Man, I think
that the the real true silent majority in America is the Christians.

Illegal Again

By kakijoje , 2008-08-21 14:45:34 in Politics

When little kids don't get their way they keep whining until they do and so does the super and planning chair.  They called for an illegal vote on the moratorium issue.  They had persuaded two board member to turn the other way and this time the super voted when she had not before.  Well the lawyer told her it was illegal and now the planning chair is whining about it so don't be surprised when the super calls for another public hearing on the issue.  They keep saying the moratorium will only be on the commercial applicants.  According to the state you cannot segregate out certain entities on a moratorium.  Stay tuned for the next illegal move by these two women and their cohorts.
